    Saddle Up for Hope

Ride on out for an enchanted evenin' under the Western sky and help us rope in hope! With your support, we can create a stampede of change through our gold-star programs—providin' free wigs to cowgirls battlin' breast cancer, life-savin' mammograms for those in need, wide-open education, and steadfast support for survivors.

So dust off your boots and get your tickets, the hoedown of the year is comin' your way! Join us at our 16th Annual WIG OUT on Friday, November 6, 2026, at Foley Ranch for a rootin'-tootin' good time at our "Boots for Boobies – A Western Wig Out." Don your most magical Western-inspired costumes—think cowgirls, outlaws, or glitterin' rodeo queens! Wigs are highly encouraged, partner! Get ready for a night of light bites, spirited sips, a silent auction, and a costume contest that'll separate the outlaws from the legends.

Let's make some dust, dream big, and treasure every moment together, because when this community bands together, there ain't a battle we can't face. So round up your friends, spread the word, and get ready to ride for a cause that matters!

    Yeehaw and see you there!

    Why should you sponsor?

This year, we're saddlin' up for a cause that needs every last one of you ridin' tall in the saddle—and that includes our incredible business leaders, community champions, and corporate partners. By sponsoring our 16th Annual WIG OUT fundraiser, you'll be more than a guest, you'll be a hero in the fight against breast cancer, helpin' us lasso up support and resources for those who need 'em most.

So dust off your boots, cinch up your wildest wig, and mosey on down to Foley Ranch on Friday, November 6th, for a rootin'-tootin' good time at Boots for Boobies – A Western Wig Out. We're talkin' a night of down-home fun: light bites that'll tempt your taste buds, spirited sips to warm your soul, a silent auction that'll have you bidin' like a pro, and a costume contest that'll separate the outlaws from the legends. Sponsors get top billing and a front-row seat to the good we'll do together. So grab your boldest western wig and your shiniest boots, 'cause this herd's gonna be one for the history books.

Here's what one of our wig clients had to say about findin' a little courage in the middle of her storm:

"I've been fighting breast cancer for 3.5 years now. . . I thought I could handle not having hair, but it upsets my children. My youngest boy is 8 and he doesn't like for anyone to know that I have cancer. He was so upset when I shaved my head but I had to because the hair was falling out in handfuls. Finances are not at their best right now. It means so much to have the little things - like looking normal and feeling feminine in my wig from Check for a Lump." - Erin

That's the quiet power of this work. That's the difference you make when you show up. So partner, we'd be mighty honored if you'd join us for this WIG OUT hoedown that's part costume party, part cocktail shindig, and all heart. Together, we'll raise a ruckus and raise some funds, makin' sure no one in our community has to ride that trail alone. Because when Arizonans band together, there ain't a battle we can't face and ain't a soul we'll leave behind.

I am sincerely grateful for the opportunity to advocate on behalf of the inspiring non-profit, Check for a Lump. As you consider potential missions to support, please consider joining Check for a Lump in their passion and mission in the fight against breast cancer. Their commitment to this cause is not merely a mission—it's a heartfelt, unwavering promise to make a difference and to ensure that no one feels alone in their fight.

Having been one of those women, I am now honored to assist this non-profit in finding generous supporters to continue their good work. Check for a Lump’s mission is to provide free breast health education, mammograms, testing, and direct assistance to breast cancer patients with wigs, support, and resources in Arizona. When you look at their programs, you'll see the extraordinary impact they have on lives.

The Education program empowers individuals through their annual magazine, STEP UP to Prevention Wellness Workshops, podcasts, social media, website, and numerous outreach opportunities. Check for a Lump spreads invaluable breast health facts, screening guidelines, and preventive information to lower one’s risk of breast cancer, arming women with knowledge that can save lives. Imagine the lives touched, the awareness raised, and the hope instilled in those who receive this knowledge. Check for a Lump recognizes that knowledge is power.

Mammograms play a crucial role in early breast cancer detection, and Check for a Lump is dedicated to providing qualifying women in Arizona with essential access to these screenings, along with any necessary follow-up testing. Enabling individuals to be proactive about their health is one of the organization’s most compassionate services. Prioritizing access to care, they recognize that the health benefits stemming from early diagnoses are immeasurable. In 2022 alone, Check for a Lump facilitated over $222,000 in expenses for mammograms and diagnostic testing. This program is not just saving lives; it's doing so with a commitment to compassion and efficiency.

The Wig Program is a testament to the empathy Check for a Lump embodies. For breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy treatment, receiving a free wig is not just about physical comfort but preserving their dignity and self-esteem during an extremely difficult journey. This simple act of providing normalcy and comfort speaks volumes about the organization's dedication to the emotional well-being of their clients.

The Support program, offered through Super Survivors Unite and Super Survivor Kits, creates a safe and supportive space for breast cancer patients and survivors to connect. The therapeutic activities provided through Super Survivors Unite are a lifeline for those in need of emotional support. The Super Survivor Kits, available to any Arizona resident undergoing breast cancer treatment, provide not just essentials but also a comforting touch, an acknowledgment of their struggle, and an assurance that they are not alone in their battle.

I urge you to consider Check for a Lump as a grant recipient because their programs go beyond the practicality of services offered. They are rooted in empathy, care, and a deep understanding of the emotional, physical, and financial challenges that breast cancer patients face. Supporting this organization is not just a financial investment; it is an investment in hope, in life, and in the belief that together, we can make a profound impact in the fight against breast cancer.

By choosing Check for a Lump as a grant recipient, you are making a difference not just in the lives of the women they serve but also in your own, by being part of an organization that embodies the highest principles of compassion and support. Your grant will not only provide financial assistance but also radiate hope as a testament to the power of human kindness and generosity.

Thank you for taking the time to consider Check for a Lump. I hope that you will join me in supporting their vital mission.

    With gratitude and hope,
    Laura
