DARA No Alcohol Marathon 2026 is an awareness initiative organised by DARA – De-Addiction and Rehabilitation Centres Association on 2nd October 2026.
The marathon aims to bring together students, healthcare professionals, social-work professionals, rehabilitation organisations and the general public to spread a strong message about the harmful impact of alcohol and the importance of prevention, early support, treatment and recovery.
The event will particularly encourage participation from medical, MSW and PSW students, creating a young and socially responsible movement around the message:
“Run for a Life Beyond Alcohol.”
Through this marathon, DARA aims to promote awareness, reduce stigma surrounding addiction and encourage communities to support healthier choices and recovery.
DARA — Working Together for a Better Tomorrow.
By supporting the DARA No Alcohol Marathon 2026, sponsors become part of a meaningful public-awareness initiative focused on health, prevention, youth engagement and recovery.
The event provides sponsors with an opportunity to associate their organisation with a positive social cause while reaching students, healthcare professionals, social workers, rehabilitation organisations, families and the wider community.
Sponsorship support will directly contribute towards participant T-shirts, caps, refreshments, drinking water, race bibs, event branding and other essential event requirements.
Depending on the sponsorship category, sponsors may receive visibility through event T-shirts, banners, stage/backdrop branding, social-media promotions, certificates, announcements and event communication materials.
Most importantly, the partnership helps DARA take the message of “No Alcohol – Choose Health, Choose Life” to a larger audience and encourages collective action towards prevention and recovery.
Your support is not just sponsorship of an event — it is support for awareness, healthier communities and a better tomorrow.
The organisers behind this initiative bring together practical experience in addiction rehabilitation through Mind Care Foundation, Kengeri, Bengaluru, along with the wider professional network of DARA — De-Addiction and Rehabilitation Centres Association.
Mind Care Foundation works directly in the field of alcohol and drug addiction rehabilitation, providing structured support, counselling, wellness activities and recovery-oriented programmes in a residential setting.
Building on this grassroots experience, DARA was created to connect rehabilitation organisations, professionals, students and stakeholders across India through awareness, knowledge sharing, professional development and collaboration.
Our work is guided by five principles: Dignity, Access, Ethics, Quality and Recovery.
Through initiatives such as the DARA No Alcohol Marathon, we aim to take the message of prevention, healthier choices and recovery beyond rehabilitation centres and into colleges, communities and the wider public.
